This piece was commissioned by Richard Karschner, director of the Quakertown Community Band. Richard approached me about writing this piece

early in January of 2015. Having discovered a couple of pieces I had previously written, he asked me to use material from two previously written pieces to create a five minute long work for band. The material I used was the Fanfare from Suite for Saxophone Ensemble and the middle section of Septet for Strings and Mallet Percussion. The piece was premiered by the Quakertown Community Band on March 22nd, 2015.
